
Just like the Corporate Area Manning Cup, there will be a new champion in the rural area DaCosta Cup as Garvey Maceo High were sent crashing in the round of 16 after losing 2-5 to Glenmuir High.
Garvey Maceo finished in third spot with four points in Group 3 and just missed out on goal difference to Clarendon College, which was second, also on four points. Glenmuir were perfect in the second round, winning all three games and ending on nine points.
Of the eight teams in the quarterfinals, three are from Clarendon, two from St Catherine, one each from Manchester, St Elizabeth and St James.
Clarendon will be represented by Glenmuir High, Clarendon College and Kemps Hill High, while the St Catherine teams are Dinthill High and McGrath High. St Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) represent St Elizabeth, Cornwall College from St James and Christiana High from Manchester.
The eight teams are split into two zones, with Group A consisting of Cornwall College, Glenmuir High, Kemps Hill High and McGrath High, while Group B will be contested by STETHS, Dinthill Technical, Christiana High and Clarendon College.
The quarterfinals kick off on Saturday with Cornwall College hosting McGrath High, Kemps Hill travelling to Glenmuir High, STETHS taking on Clarendon College and Dinthill Technical hosting Christiana High. All games are 3:00 pm.
One of these eight teams will be crowned champion, with Glenmuir High the overwhelming favourites to get the job done.
