After announcing that the United States is now running and controlling Venezuela after launching air strikes on the country and capturing its President Nicolas Maduro, President Trump is now focused on acquiring the Arctic territory of Greenland insisting that it is essential for national security purposes and that Denmark and Europe can do nothing about it.

This stance is likely to undermine the viability of NATO and usher in a new World Order.

While campaigning for the Presidency in 2024, he did say that he had his eyes on taking Greenland but this was dismissed by many as Donald Trump being bombastic.

Now he is serious and has Europe’s attention. President Trump has made it clear that he doesn’t want Russia or China to have operations in Greenland and that it too is subject to what is called the “Donroe Doctrine.”

“Right now we are going to do something on Greenland whether they like it or not because if we don’t do it, Russia or China will take over Greenland and we’re not gonna have Russia or China as a neighbour.

“If we don’t do it the easy way, we’re going to do it the hard way,” said America’s President, the leader of the free world.

President Trump says he doesn’t want to sign any kind of treaty or come to some kind of accommodation with Denmark who is responsible for the Artic territory. Nothing less than owning Greenland will do.

“I think that ownership gives you a thing you can’t do with, you’re talking about a lease or treaty. Ownership gives you things and elements that you can’t get from just signing a document, ”President Trump told the New York Times.

President of France, Emmanuel Macron, has expressed concerns about President Trump’s increasing bellicose rhetoric since the start of the year.

“The United States is an established power but one that is gradually turning away from some of its allies and breaking free from international rules that it was still promoting recently.

“Multilateral institutions are functioning less and less effectively. We are living in a world of great power with a real temptation to divide up the world.”

“Global governance is key in a time when everyday people wonder whether Greenland is going to be invaded as well as whether Canada will face the threat of becoming the 51st state,” said President Macron.

President Trump views NATO as an ineffective multilateral organisation that only exists because of U.S. funding. He does not regard it as an impediment to his geo-political ambitions and his America First economic and foreign policy.

On NATO, this is what he had to say: “Until I came along, the USA was foolishly paying for NATO. Russia and China have zero fear of NATO without the United States and I doubt NATO would be there for us if we really needed them.

“We will always be there for NATO, even if they won’t be there for us. The only nation that China and Russia fear and respect is the DJT-rebuilt USA.”

President Trump has ordered his military high command to draw up a plan for the invasion of Greenland. He will not be disuaded by European officials pleading for restraint.
