Twenty-two-year-old Dwight Miller, otherwise called ‘Glasses’, a carpenter of 21 Payne Avenue, Kingston 11, has been charged in relation to the 2024 murder of 22-year-old Tyrese Harrison.

Miller has been charged with murder, wounding with intent, illegal possession of a firearm, illegal possession of ammunition, and using a firearm to commit a felony.

Reports from the Duhaney Park Police indicate that a subsequent investigation implicated Miller in the fatal shooting of Tyrese Harrison, which occurred on February 19, 2024.

Police say they were on mobile patrol in the area when they heard loud explosions and proceeded to the location. Upon arrival, they reportedly observed a group of men who fled the area upon seeing the police.

Investigations continued, and statements were later recorded from complainants and other witnesses, leading to the preparation of an arrest warrant for Miller.

On Monday, January 12, 2026, Miller attended the Duhaney Park Police Station accompanied by his attorney, where he was taken into custody. On Wednesday, January 14, 2026, the arrest warrant was formally executed, and he was charged.

A court date is currently being finalised.
