Twin sisters Tina and Tia Clayton, along with Kishane Thompson, will compete at the BAUHAUS Indoor-Galan, a World Athletics Indoor Tour Silver meeting, in Stockholm, Sweden, on Thursday.

In all, five MVP athletes will be in action, including World relay silver medallist Jonielle Smith and Rohan Watson.

Jamaica’s world and Olympic 100m silver medallist Kishane Thompson will line up against Great Britain’s world and European indoor 60m champion Jeremiah Azu, who has a personal best of 6.49.

Thompson has an indoor best of 6.56 seconds, but should lower that time as he showed good form, winning the 60m outdoor in 6.52 at the Puma JAAA Fuller-Anderson meet last Saturday.

Rohan Watson is also no slouch and with an outdoor 60m best of 6.50 will be in the mix along with Italy’s 2023 European indoor champions Samuele Ceccarelli, who has an indoor personal best of 6.47.

The line-up also includes 2024 European 100m bronze medallist Romell Glave from Great Britain as well as Slovakia’s Jan Volko, the 2019 and respectively.

In the women’s 60m, Jamaica should dominate with Tia and Tina Clayton and Jonielle Smith. Tina Clayton is the freshly minted Sportswoman of the Year, and she is a big race performer coming off a stunning silver medal at last year’s World Championship.

She has a personal best of 7.24, done outdoors, and may have to play catch-up to her sister Tia, who opened her season last week, winning in 7.02 outdoors. Jonielle Smith was not far behind in that race in 7.06 and could make it a clean sweep by the Jamaicans.

Home girl Julia Henriksson, with an indoor personal best of 7.33 and Portugal’s Arialis Gandulla, with 7.17, should make it a competitive race.
