Police Officer’s Association (POA) boss, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Wayne Cameron, is currently participating in a formal question-and-answer session with the police, in the presence of his attorneys, after the Director of Public Prosecutions ruled that he be slapped with fraud-related charges.

DPP Claudette Thompson ruled that Cameron be charged regarding allegations of misappropriation of funds at the POA.

Cameron is facing charges of fraudulent conversion contrary to Section 24.1 2 of the Larceny Act regarding cheques made payable to Red Roof Properties Limited, ABC Electrical Sales, and MF Construction and Block Factory Limited.

She has also recommended that he be charged with larceny as a public servant contrary to Section 22.1 of the Larceny Act regarding cheques made payable to him between December 2019 and August 2025, which were fraudulently applied for his personal use.
