The new RAV4 revs things up and raises the bar for hybrid performance and SUV innovation

Toyota Jamaica is offering the new RAV4 in two distinct powertrain configurations. The RAV4 (Gas) is powered by a responsive 2.0-litre petrol engine paired with an automatic transmission and a 55-litre fuel tank. The RAV4 Hybrid combines a 2.5-litre petrol engine with Toyota’s proven hybrid technology, with local road tests indicating fuel consumption of approximately five litres per 100 kilometres. Also available is the highly anticipated GR-Sport model from Toyota’s motorsport division, which fully embraces the fun side of driving, reflected in the vehicle’s bespoke design.

Advanced technology and safety Features

The all-new RAV4 is the first vehicle to launch with Toyota Safety Sense 4.0 (TSS 4.0), which is Toyota’s most advanced safety suite to date. Standard on every RAV4 sold by Toyota Jamaica, TSS 4.0 includes a pre-collision system with pedestrian/cyclist/motorcyclist detection, full-speed range dynamic radar cruise control, lane departure alert with steering assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic high-beam assist. All variants come with seven airbags, hill start assist, vehicle stability control, ABS, and front/rear proximity sensors with reverse camera.

Additionally, the interior has been substantially upgraded, centring around Toyota’s newly designed infotainment system, which features a larger display with a significantly more intuitive and responsive interface. Other highlights include wireless phone charging, four USB charging ports, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a powered tailgate, and a moonroof (Hybrid XLE-HI).

Pricing starts at JMD $7,950,000 for the RAV4 LE model. All models come with a 3-year / 100,000 km vehicle warranty and 3-year / 45,000 km complimentary maintenance. Hybrid models also include a 6-year hybrid battery warranty.
