The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) is urging members of the public to stop circulating a photograph and message on social media claiming that nine-year-old Adonai Thomas is missing.

In a statement on Monday, the JCF said investigations have confirmed that the information being shared is false.

According to the police, Adonai has been accounted for, is in good health, and remains safely in the care of her family.

The JCF warned that the continued circulation of the misleading post could cause unnecessary distress to the child and her relatives.

The police are appealing to members of the public to immediately cease sharing the photograph and accompanying message and to verify information before reposting it on social media platforms.
