Writer and producer Rayon McLean has received rave reviews from spectators for his latest theatre production, ‘Pitch Patchy’, a play that truly shows what it means to be a Jamaican.
Throughout its runtime, the play features mini skits that reflect Jamaica’s culture – from the things we say and do, to how we relate to each other.
Spectators can also expect to see an interesting mix of some of Jamaica’s most popular social media personalities and theatre actors such as Tanaania Tracey, Keticia ‘TC’ Chatman, Sheldon Shepherd, Christopher ‘Johnny’ Daley, Juliet ‘Julie Mango’ Bodley, Joylene Alexander-Hall and Sanneta Myrie.
At its opening night on September 7, the play received overwhelming support from many Jamaicans with tickets being sold out.
Since its debut, audience members have rushed to Twitter, sharing their experiences and reviews.
Olivia Grange, minister of culture, gender, entertainment and sport, also attended the opening night of the play sharing that she experienced “non-stop laughter from the start to the very end”.
