Arajet opens up new Dom Rep-St Maarten route

Dominican Republic-based startup airline, Arajet continues to add new routes around the Caribbean region opening up a new Dom Rep-St Maarteen route.

The new route will see nonstop service between Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and St Maarten. 

The new flights between Las Americas International Airport and Princess Juliana International Airport will operate twice each week with service on Tuesdays and Saturdays. 

It’s part of a growing intra-Caribbean network that also just added a new route between Santo Domingo and Aruba. 

Arajet is an ultra-low-cost carrier headquartered in Santo Domingo that began operations earlier this month and made its first flight on September 15. 

The Caribbean carrier start off with routes to Mexico, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Peru and other Caribbean destinations. The Caribbean destinations that Arajet will be flying to include Aruba, Curacao, St Maarten, Cartagena and Barranquilla

The company is expected to add a new route soon between the Dominican Republic and Guatemala City, Guatemala. That route is expected to begin on September 28.
