For an intimate dinner on Valentine’s Day with fine Italian cuisine, it has to be at Roun’ Suh on Strathaim Avenue off Ruthven Road in St Andrew.

The quaint restaurant is owned by Aicha Sangalli Heholt and she is ably assisted by her husband, Charles Heholt.

The intimate setting at Roun’ Suh.

A few years ago, the spot where Roun’ Suh is located served as a restaurant owned by Huntley Watson called 2 WO Seafood. It became Roun’ Suh in 2020 and is now run by the husband and wife team.

Speaking with Our Today, Sangalli Heholt said: “I place great stock in customer service. I have always loved the food industry. For Valentine’s Day we have brought in our Italian chef, Alfio Riggi. He is very good and folks will be in for a delightful meal on a special day.

“There are many ways to say ‘I love you’ on February 14th, but our favourite way is through food: a cosy table setting, a glass of wine full of promises and a line-up of dishes – all made with love and goodwill.

“In Italy, we don’t cook just to eat; we cook in order to demonstrate our love, to take care of one another and to enjoy the present moment and all it has to offer with those that matter. And on an evening celebrating love like Valentine’s Day, time really does stop and nothing else matters. At least for one night!”

For Valentine’s Day, take a loved one to Roun’ Suh.
