It’s hard to avoid seeing mentions of early 2000s love birds Bennifer 2.0 these days. However, A-Rod is getting over J-Lo the best way he knows, by channeling his energies into a business venture where he attaches his name behind a new men’s make-up line in collaboration with men’s wellness site, HIMS.
The HIMS ‘Blur Stick’ is billed as a ‘sleek, effective concealer stick specially formulated for men.’
The job of a concealer is to camouflage everything from blemishes, acne, hyperpigmentation, razor scars to covering dark circles beneath or around the eyes. Formulated with ingredients like jojoba oil and aloe, it also helps to cover up and calm any nicks and cuts from shaving, all while moisturising the skin at the same time.
Smart investment, but do a lot of men wear make-up?

A-Rod has never been shy to speak out about skincare. Speaking with online platform Bazaar when they were together, J-Lo publicly declared that,“(Alex) tries everything. We did the mask together on the first night, and I filmed myself and it was just life-changing. I was like, ‘My God, I feel like I have a baby face!’” she said.
She continued: “He loves it, and now we’re always fighting for the mask since they’re not in full production. (These products) are for anybody who has skin, which is everyone.”
The public declaration was about A-Rod not being shy to use her products from the J Lo Beauty Line on himself.
However, the former athlete allegedly said he is having a hard time finding products specifically for men.

Regardless, the Blur Stick is available in eight shades, ranging from ‘fair’ to ‘deep,’ and the company says the shades are able to match most skin tones.
Reportedly, as an athlete, A-Rod said it was important for the concealer to not only be moisturising, but sweat-proof as well; your acne and dark circles stay covered up in the sun during the day but the concealer wipes off easily with a face towel or cloth at night.
Is it surprising that A-Rod knows so much about make-up that he even recognises the benefits of a sweat-proof concealer? The ladies will be running to HIMS soon!
Fun fact: HIMS is the sister site for HERS, which ‘coincidentally’ is promoting J-Lo’s beauty products.
However, as an early investor in HIMS, A-Rod has worked with the team on the business end, but this is his first collaboration on a product.
A-Rod is making some real change as The Blur Stick is the newest addition to the HIMS & HERS line of skincare products that also includes a selection of moisturisers, serums and supplements.

In a Rolling Stone magazine article, A-Rod said: “Since I met the HIMS & HERS team, it was clear to me that they were revolutionising telehealth and direct- to-consumer products.”
He continued: “Like other HIMS & HERS products, accessibility and convenience were central to the development of the Blur Stick.”
He concluded his statement by referring to the ‘years’ he has been looking for something he could use as a ‘touch-up’ for his blemishes or razor bump scars.
A-Rod said: “Today the HIMS & HERS product development team has delivered it.”
