Jamaican sprinting sensation Elaine Thompson-Herah and her husband Derron Herah are today (November 2) celebrating their second wedding anniversary.

Though it seems like the two tied the knot just yesterday, it is clear the couple has come a far way since they made their relationship public in 2019.

In a heartfelt Instagram post from Thompson-Herah on Tuesday (November 2), she relayed her surprise that the years had flown by so fast.

“I can’t believe that two years have passed since the day our paths crossed. So many things have changed since then, and my life has changed so much because of you, ” wrote Thompson-Herah.

She noted, however, that despite the many changes her life has seen over the years, one thing remains the same.

“I’m still hopelessly in love with you,” said the 29-year-old.

She added: “Please don’t stop being wonderful, kind, generous, silly, and romantic. You are the reason why my days are brighter and happier. You are the reason why I look forward to the future. You are the reason why my heart is full of love and gladness.

“Happy second anniversary! I look forward to sharing many more anniversaries with you.”

Despite keeping her relationship mostly private prior to making her wedding announcement on November 2, 2019, Thompson-Herah has always been very forthcoming as it relates to her feelings for her husband.

Following her wedding day two years ago, the 100m sprinter shared photos of herself and her husband on Instagram with the caption, “I have a best friend as a husband, and he is my number one supporter.”

The post continued: “He’s a family man, and he’s always giving back to God. That is what makes him a beautiful man. We’re not perfect by any means, but that makes us beautiful as well. We’re not afraid to say we’re not perfect. We have our disagreements, but that comes along with marriage.”
