Bob Marley’s 80th birthday celebration was held on Thursday, February 6, at the Bob Marley Museum on Hope Road in St Andrew and it was a thrilling and captivating cultural experience.
The event hosted a kid’s village with various activities, such as petting animals by the Hope Zoo, painting and even Virtual Reality (VR) activities being held throughout the day.

In addition to the fun fair and children’s activities, folks were given a tour of the new exhibition with works by the artiste Mr Brainwash, whose art centred around the use of raw materials such as vinyl and traditional paint.
After walking through the Rastafari and Herb exhibition, patrons also got to see Bob’s iconic Land Rover.

A new addition to the museum tour that explores Bob’s relationship with ‘herb’ (Marijuana) is located on the upper floor of the building.
On-site marijuana dispensary, food and drinks and mellow vibes—and a mini-concert at the end—created an atmosphere emblematic of the spirit of Bob on his 80th birthday.
