Aaron Rodgers is set for another run in the league after signing a new one-year contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers, extending his career into a 22nd season.

The 42-year-old had kept fans guessing about whether he would play again or return to Pittsburgh, where he spent last season. Now, the former Super Bowl winner and four-time NFL MVP is running it back for at least one more year.

Rodgers originally joined the Steelers on a one-year deal worth $13.65 million, one of the lower salaries among starting quarterbacks at the time. His new agreement is reported to be worth $22 million guaranteed and could rise to $25 million with incentives.

He entered the NFL back in 2005 as a first-round pick of the Green Bay Packers, beginning a career that has stretched across two decades and multiple franchise-defining moments.

Rodgers helped guide the Steelers into last season’s playoff picture before head coach Mike Tomlin brought his 19-year tenure with the team to a close.
