Jamaican micro financer, Access Financial Services is confirming that it was hit with a cyber security threat but is advising that the company has successfully implemented measures to contain the cybersecurity incident.

The threat was detected on AFS’ network by its internal monitoring system on Thursday, February 27, 2025. The incident triggered AFS’ security and containment mechanisms, which functioned as expected.

The Board of Directors is reporting that “the security protocol was able to stop the attack in its early stages and we have not detected any data breach at this time.
