The king of cars in Jamaica, Adam Stewart, was easily the coolest guy at the inaugural and captivating Jamaica Auto Show inside the National Arena, the National Indoor Sports Complex and the surrounding grounds on Sunday.

Well-known for continuing the rich entrepreneurship legacy of his father, Butch Stewart’s car sales dealership, now called the ATL Automotive Group, Stewart was greeted by hundreds of car enthusiasts who admire his business ventures, of which he returned with down-to-earth and friendly responses before taking photo ops.

He spearheads 10 ventures, which have revolutionised the car industry with the vehicle brands: Honda, BMW, Kia, Foton, Mini, VW, BYD, MG, Audi and Porsche.

“The show this year has been unbelievable. It’s easily the biggest auto show ever in Jamaica’s history. It’s some 20,000 participants who came from all over Jamaica, brands from all over the world. Plus, ATL representing with our full concourse for 10 brands from our newest brands, BYD and Foton, MG on the EV side of things, [and] back to Honda where it all began for us,” Stewart, who leads in Jamaica’s with the largest number of car distributors under one brand with world class service, said during an interview with Our Today while on location.

“It has really been fantastic. People love cars in Jamaica, from the most impressive sports cars to the safest family cars. Next year will be better!” he said.

As a real car salesperson, Stewart also made time to walk-through with interested persons about some of the vehicles the ATL Automotive Group had to offer, and encouraged them to at least sit in the driver’s seat of the cars for the experience.

Although the automotive brands from the ATL Automotive Group took over the entire floor of concourse two at the inaugural event, which was held inside The National Indoor Sports Complex, Stewart also toured his competing brands and greeted the dealers with a warm embrace.

While touring concourse one soon after his arrival, which had his competing brands, Stewart ran into Jamaica’s music industry sensation, Jeffrey ‘Agent Sasco’ Campbell. Following this, the two excited car enthusiasts continued their day’s tour of the showing together, while sitting in the luxury brands, comparing the vehicles and simply just chatting with the dealer representatives on the ground.

Stewart also took advantage of experiencing one of the most luxurious cars, the green Mercedes AMG GT R sports car, which had the real car enthusiasts on a high at the Jamaica Auto Show.

According to the event organisers—Main Event Entertainment Group Limited, Mystique Integrated Services Limited, Iprint Group of Companies and title sponsor, Jamaica Public Service Change ‘n Go—the show was well received. Mellissa Tulloch, Assistant Vice President for Corporate Strategy and Joint Ventures, Main Event Entertainment Group Limited, said the show placed a strong emphasis on sustainability, innovation, and the future of mobility, while aligning with global trends in the automotive sector.

“Organised in collaboration with key stakeholders in the automotive industry, the Jamaica Auto Show serves as a dynamic platform for manufacturers, dealers, and suppliers to connect with potential buyers, display their newest offerings, and share insights into the evolving automotive landscape,” Tulloch said.
