Jamaica’s tourism mecca, Montego Bay, will have a new adult only all-inclusive resort this summer.
Blue Diamond Resorts and Marriott have teamed up and will be opening the new Hideaway at Royalton Blue Waters, a resort which will be part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection. The resort is set to open its doors in November just in time for the winter tourist season, which is Jamaica’s busiest tourism period and usually a peak time with vacationers.
The 352-room-and-suite resort is located about 35 minutes from the Sangster International Airport and is adjacent to the existing Royalton Blue Waters family-friendly resort. Already, Hideaway at Royalton Blue Waters has officially opened its reservation system and is accepting bookings.
Many amenities to choose from
The newest addition to the tourism offerings of Jamaica’s second city of Montego Bay will have 11 eateries across a range of international cuisines, from Indian to Tex-Mex to authentic West Indian and even a jerk hut right on the beach.
The property will have a special pool and all of the beach sections, a dedicated lobby, a Diamond Club lounge, along with 13 different bars. Hideaway at Royalton Blue Waters will also include access to The Royal Spa and all of the offerings at Royalton Blue Waters, which is also part of the Autograph Collection.
This means both resorts are part of Marriott’s Bonvoy programme, which will be an added incentive to visitors.
Commenting on the new resort, president of Blue Diamond Resorts, Jordi Pelfort, told Caribbean Journal, “Jamaica has always been an essential destination for Blue Diamond Resorts, where we have established ourselves as leaders in the all-inclusive segment. With the addition of Hideaway at Royalton Blue Waters, we continue to expand our portfolio, offering even more options to cater to the unique preferences and needs of each traveler.”
The Royalton brand has been adding a number of new resorts in the wider Caribbean, accompanying its alliance with Marriott’s All-Inclusive programme that includes the popular Royalton Splash Riviera Cancún, which opened its doors at the end of 2022.
