Over the years, the Hennessy brand has been known to align with strong, high-value events and the Burna Boy Live concert was the latest addition.

The event was held at the National Stadium in Kingston Sunday night (December 18), featuring an interesting blend of music, culture, arts, entertainment and, ‘the world’s finest cognac’, providing an exhilarating musical experience for consumers.

According to Kamal Powell, regional marketing manager at Campari, distributors for Hennessy, they are pleased with the execution and the results of hard work.

The man of the hour, Burna Boy, during the height of his electrifying performance on stage.

“The Hennessy team has remained committed to executing the best possible experience for patrons in the VIP areas. A lot of planning went into this project and you have seen the executions throughout the region with different shows under the Hennessy Artistry series and how successful they were so we had to make sure we delivered on our promise.

“In our eyes, this project is a success- patrons are pleased with the unique experience and I just want to commend Burna Boy, Popcaan, Lila Ike and the other supporting acts for sharing their talent through these stunning performances. We thoroughly enjoyed every second,” he said.

Hennessy signed on as the official spirit partner for the event, and were responsible for outfitting the VIP and VVIP areas; and the build out of the Ultra VIP section.

Patrons could also take advantage of the specially designed photo-op areas to document their experience.

One patron, Anna-Maria Graham, who was front row in the VVIP section, described the set-up as “top tier”.

“Beautiful set-up, well executed, definitely a top tier set-up just like the brand Hennessy,” she remarked.

Mirroring the spirit and tone of the brand, the VIP section had a Hennessy bar where guests could enjoy complimentary mixes and had an excellent view of the stage, the VVIP section featured golden seating arrangements, food, Hennessy cocktails, photo-op areas and a 360 camera at the entrance and a panoramic view of the stage; Ultra VIP boasted a golden deck outfitted with posh seating, premium cuisine with Hennessy bar on hand serving appealing mixes.

Toni-Ann Archer and her friend Vannessa Ramsey shared a fun moment in the spacious set-up of the Hennessy VVIP section.

Event promoter Andrew Ellis also lauded Hennessy’s execution at the event.

“Hennessy is our premium high-end spirit brand and certainly we are not able to execute everywhere but when we do we show up and we show out- the Burna show execution was nothing less than that. Persons were happy with the décor and layout of the Ultra VIP. The setting definitely matched the occasion in terms of the finishes and final touches. Also we had some high-end pours in both VVIP and Ultra-VIP and
persons were happy about that. It was a good compliment to the show in terms of the ladies coming out and taking their own moment at the 360 booth- we’re extremely happy about their execution,” he said.

Visiting from DC, Denis Rugira shared that he had to be present to experience the African-giant in the flesh.

Patrons enjoyed performances by reggae songstress Lila Ike, dancehall artiste Popcaan and the African giant, Burna Boy who performed some of his biggest hits and had fans singing along. Reggae icon Beres Hammond, Protoje and even singjay Serani blessed the stage for short periods over the course of the event which ended about 2 o’clock on Monday morning.
