Reggae songstress Alaine is set to perform live at Smirnoff Serenades on Sunday, April 28, at R Hotel’s rooftop restaurant District 5 in Kingston.
Smirnoff Serenades is a monthly live performance series. Each performance is an hour-long intimate acoustic presentation of the artiste’s catalogue of hits. Known for chart toppers like I DO, Bye, Bye, No Ordinary Love and See it Yah featuring Dexta Daps, the singer is set to make a splash.
R Hotel Operations Manager Kimesha James said: “Smirnoff Serenades is a monthly event through which we have been able to not only entertain but inspire our guests. The last staging featured Tanya Stephens, who absolutely blew us away all evening and we are very excited to present another incredible talent and vocal powerhouse Alaine.
“This event has been crafted with the guest experience in mind and so there are elements in place from start to finish that tie it all together. Prepare for an amazing evening.”

Smirnoff Serenades is a collaboration between Smirnoff and R Hotel’s District 5. Slated for the last Sunday of every month, the brands aim to bring local performers and musicians to an intimate setting, 150 – 200 patrons, for an uninterrupted acoustic display. Complimented by delectable bites and libations from District 5, the evening promises to be memorable.
Alaine said: “I’m excited to share this intimate musical experience with everyone who attends. My musicians and I and the audience are going to have the best time. There’s something really special about these types of performances and I know it will be something special, can’t wait.”
