All accused in the murder case of Simone Campbell-Collymore and taxi driver Winston Walters have been found guilty.

A jury today (May 15) found Omar Collymore guilty of orchestrating the January 2018 murder of his wife, Simone Campbell-Collymore and Walters while the hired killer, Michael Adams, and his accomplice Dwayne Pink were found guilty of facilitating the murder.

Shaquilla Edwards was acquitted of two counts but found guilty of conspiracy to murder. The guilty verdicts were delivered by the seven-member jury after deliberating for nearly two and a half hours.

Campbell-Collymore and Walters were killed when men rode up on motorbikes and sprayed them with bullets, as they waited to be let inside her Forest Ridge apartment complex in Red Hills, St Andrew.

It is alleged that the four men conspired or helped to plan the murder of Campbell-Collymore on the instructions of her husband, Omar Collymore. The price tag reportedly placed on Campbell-Collymore’s head was J$2 million.

The actual shooters in the double murder were Wade Blackwood, a prosecution witness now serving time for the crime and a man who goes by the name ‘Jim Brown’, who is said to have been a community enforcer from Brooke Valley, St Andrew. 

‘Brown’ was killed during a confrontation with police.
