The Amber Group, founded and headed by Dushyant Savadia has acquired 100 per cent of the South African company, Intelli Business Solutions (IBS).
The Amber Group, headquartered in Kingston, Jamaica is an IT and coding operation that has quickly delineated its business lines. With Amber Connect, Amber Pay and, more recently, Amber Aviation, it is moving to establish a presence in many countries.

IBS, a company with a 10-year history in supplying hardware solutions will now be renamed Amber IoT Limited. Frikkee Geyser has been appointed as CEO of Amber IoT (Africa).
An IBS website reads: “Our broad spectrum of business offerings includes agriculture, manufacturing, retail, logistics and healthcare. We also provide IT solutions to other domains like sports, automobile, energy and construction, field service and hospitality.”
The company, located in Pretoria, boasts clients such as Google, Fujitsu and Lenovo.
It was not immediately clear how much Amber paid to acquire IBS or the valuation of the South African outfit.

Savadia is no stranger to South Africa, having already launched Amber Connect in Durban back in 2018.
At the time, he said: “South Africa is the launching hub of Africa. It has a lot of potential as a country. It also has a large consumer market. Why Durban? Well, firstly, you have the largest port of imports and exports when it comes to transport. Secondly, it is the perfect place for creating employment.
“Everyone who sets up a business wants to go to Johannesburg as they feel they can find employment there faster and that is why you get a massive brain drain in the city into other cities, which I want to stop.”
