Amber Group, the technology company that built and donated Jamaica’s official disaster-relief platform, SupportJamaica.gov.jm, has once again stepped forward in service to the nation. This time, the company mobilised on the ground in St. Elizabeth, delivering major support to families in Carisbrook, White Hill, Newton, and Maggotty — four underserved communities heavily impacted by Hurricane Melissa.

From sunrise to sunset, more than 30 members of the Amber team travelled through affected districts, distributing thousands of packages of food, water, and essentials, and providing hands-on support to residents who lost homes, crops, and livelihoods. The mission reached households that had received little to no assistance since the hurricane struck.

Our team continues to demonstrate what Amber stands for,” said Dushyant Savadia, Founder & CEO of the Amber Group. “We are proud to have delivered Jamaica’s official relief platform in record time, and even prouder that it has already enabled the country to raise well over US$1.5 million. But we knew we could not stop there.’

“As long as Jamaica needs help, Amber will be there — in technology, in action, and on the ground,” Savadia said.

The relief operation was further strengthened by the critical support of Phase 3 Productions, the Jamaica Constabulary Force, DMP, and the guidance of ODPEM, whose coordination and presence ensured safe access to the most difficult-to-reach areas.

The company emphasised that it will continue to fund and support additional missions as communities work to rebuild.

“This is not the time to count dollars — this is the time to serve people.” Savadia added.

While Friday’s operation supported hundreds of residents, the need across all western Parishes remains immense. Amber Group is calling on corporate Jamaica, the diaspora, and individuals everywhere to help sustain the recovery by donating through SupportJamaica.gov.jm — the secure, transparent national platform in support of the country.
