Amber Group makes its first foray into the Jamaican media landscape and has acquired Digicel’s recently closed SportsMax Studio as a base of operations to launch Revo TV.

REVO TV is an artificial intelligence (AI) digital television channel, delivering non-stop, world-class coverage of news, business, sport, and entertainment 24/7.

The platform officially goes live on Wednesday (September 3), with  live coverage of Jamaica’s 19th General Election, led by veteran broadcaster Cliff Hughes and his expert team.

Combining next-generation journalism with breakthrough technology, it’s designed to completely reimagine how Jamaica and the region experience broadcast media.

Launching in tandem is revonews.ai, a revolutionary online platform that redefines what a news website can be. Here, audiences can talk directly to their news through an AI-powered assistant in Cliff Hughes’ own voice, explore archives in seconds, and curate the stories, sports, and entertainment that matter most. For the first time, readers can also engage in real-time live chats with one another about the stories they care about, transforming news consumption into a shared experience.

Together, REVO TV and REVONEWS.AI signal the dawn of a new media era—where television and digital interactivity converge to put the power of journalism back into the hands of the people.

Dushyant Savadia, founder and CEO of Amber Group, said: “REVO has been built from the ground up with artificial intelligence and technology at its heart. It is a complete reinvention of how people experience news, business, sport and entertainment. By merging world-class journalism with breakthrough AI, we are moving beyond passive broadcasting into a new era of intelligent, interactive media. Jamaicans will be able to engage with content in ways that were never before possible, creating a dynamic two-way relationship with their news. REVO represents the future of media—bold, innovative, and designed to put power back into the hands of the people.”

Through a strategic content-sharing partnership with Nationwide 90FM, REVO TV and Revonews.ai will bring depth and credibility to its programming while also seeking content partnerships with other media houses across the region, creating a collaborative Caribbean-wide digital broadcast ecosystem.

Cliff Hughes, CEO of Nationwide News Network, added: “Amber Group’s track record is one of disruption and transformation. REVO TV is arriving at a time when traditional media houses are struggling. We are proud to have partnered with Amber Group. With the combination of Amber’s technology and our multiple award-winning journalism over the last three decades, we are not just pivoting—we are showing the path to resurgence, profitability, and greater shareholder value in broadcast media. It’s an exciting development in the industry as we partner withAmber and Digicel to harness the best from cutting-edge technologies, our people and provide to our customers an experience that will exceed their expectations. This is a game changer in broadcast media in Jamaica.”

Stephen Murad, Digicel Jamaica CEO, said: We are pleased that AmberGroup, in partnership with Nationwide and Cliff Hughes, has chosen to invest in this studio and support the continuation of talent in the industry. This is a win for Jamaica’s creative economy, a win for the industry, and a powerful statement about Amber’s commitment to both people and innovation”.

Revo TV will be available 24/7 through revonews.ai web platform and Revo News mobile apps on Android and iOS, the interactive media hub launching alongside the broadcast channel. The platform will combine live digital television, news, sports, current affairs, deep archives, and AI personalisation into one seamless experience.
