Possible Spoilers for season 3 of ‘Interview With The Vampire’
The flamboyant French vampire will be setting the record straight in the next season of AMC’s adaptation of ‘Interview With the Vampire’.

AMC Theatres dropped the official teaser for the anticipated third season on Sunday (July 28), which featured the mischievous vampire preparing for what seems to be a film interview with the voice of Daniel Malloy (played by Eric Bogosian).
Sarcastically referring to himself as Justin Bieber and disregarding the makeup team, Lestat uses telepathy and recites the iconic introductory paragraph in Anne Rice’s second book from The Vampire Chronicles, ‘The Vampire Lestat’.
Affectionally known as ‘The Brat Prince’, Lestat’s arc in season 3 was teased before season 2’s finale. In the novel, after Louis’ (played by Jacob Anderson) book was published by journalist Daniel Malloy (Eric Bogosian), Lestat decides to take a dirt nap for a hundred years but wakes up to rock music dominating the 1980’s.

He decides to take part in the fun and updo his ex by starting a band and revealing the nature of vampires to mortals via music and a tour. Multiple easter eggs were present in the trailer that book fans should be able to easily recognize.
A crew member holds a clapperboard with the tattoo ‘Armand told the truth’. This could possibly hint to the audience that we’re about to see a different portrayal of Armand (played by Assad Zaman) after his betrayal in season 2.
Another nod to the previous season was Lestat’s crimson-red choker, which parallels the neck wound he received at the end of season 1’s finale.

Of course, embracing Lestat’s flair for theatrics and performance, AMC also dropped the rockstar’s single ‘Long Face’ as a separate lyric video, where he is obviously referencing his ex, Louis.
During the San Diego Comic Con Immortal Universe panel, showrunner Rolin Jones said that Lestat’s sound will be inspired by artistes like David Bowie, Bjork, Freddie Mercury, Fiona Apple, David Lee Roth, and modern singers like Chappell Roan and Florence Welch.
