The American woman, who was seen in a viral video creating a disruption at the Sangster’s International Airport in Montego Bay last week Tuesday, was charged and ordered to pay J$52,000 (US$335) during her court appearance on Monday.
The woman, said to be a dentist, is 39-year-old Sophia Quinn of Nevada in the United States of America.
She was charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and indecent exposure.
Quinn appeared before the St James Parish Court on Monday, where she pleaded guilty to the charges. She was fined J$52,000 or approximately US$335.
According to police reports, at about 11 a.m. on January 23, they were called to the airport following reports of a disturbance. When they entered the building, Quinn was seen acting erratically in the departure terminal of the airport.
In the viral video, the American citizen stripped naked and threw her luggage at persons nearby. She also engaged in physical confrontations with the police and airport personnel who tried to subdue her.
After several attempts, she was arrested by the police and taken to the Cornwall Regional Hospital for medical attention.
