American veterinarian charged over ammunition at Sangster International Airport

Clint Martin, a 34-year-old veterinarian from Tennessee, has been charged under Jamaica’s new Firearms Act after several rounds of ammunition were found in his luggage at Sangster International Airport on Thursday, October 3.

According to reports, anomalies were detected during security checks in a duffle bag bearing Martin’s name.

Authorities were alerted, and upon searching the bag in his presence, they discovered a magazine containing twelve 9mm rounds of ammunition.

Martin was subsequently arrested and charged after a question-and-answer session with the police.

Martin is scheduled to appear before the Western Regional Gun Court on Monday, October 7.
