In a nostalgic revival of the Nintendo 64, retro gaming company Analogue has announced the release of the Analogue 3D—a modernized version of the classic console. Set to launch in early 2025 for US$249.99, this device hopes to bring N64 games to a new generation.

Unlike traditional emulators, the Analogue 3D is designed to play original N64 cartridges natively, eliminating common issues like input lag and graphical inaccuracies. With a 4K upscaling feature, it enhances game visuals for modern screens, while an option for original CRT display modes preserves the nostalgic look and feel of the 90s gaming experience.

The Analogue 3D is compatible with both original N64 controllers and the new 8BitDo 64 controller, available for US$39.99. It also boasts Bluetooth LE connectivity and dual-band Wi-Fi, allowing for wireless gameplay in black-and-white colour options.

Pre-orders for the Analogue 3D opened on Monday, October 21.

This release is a significant moment for gamers who are excited to experience enhanced versions of N64 classics. Whether you are reminiscing about fond memories or discovering N64 titles for the first time, be sure to mark your calendars for a fresh gaming experience in 2025.
