Allegedly caught smuggled 11 East Indians out of Dominica

Two men from Antigua and Barbuda are facing up to 25 years behind bars for allegedly smuggling 11 adults and one child from Dominica into Antigua.
They are Alvin Goodwin of Gray’s Farm and Kevorn Crump, a resident of Parham and have both been arrested and charged with human trafficking and conspiring to traffic humans. The accused appeared before a magistrate last week and were placed on a $200,000 bond and told to pay $50,000 to secure their temporary release.
11 ADULT MIGRANTS ALSO ARRESTED
Their travel documents were also taken and they are required to sign in at a police station near them three times each week. The individuals, who were being smuggled were Indian nationals.
The Antigua and Barbuda authorities reports that last December, the coast guard there impeded a boat carrying the Indian nationals. The 11 adult immigrants were also arrested for entering the country illegally and were fined $1,000 each last week.
They have since been repatriated. Goodwin was driving the boat, which reportedly belonged to Crump.
