

Antiguan soca sensation Ricardo Drue has died.
After being found unresponsive, Drue was reportedly rushed to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre on Tuesday afternoon, where he was pronounced dead on Tuesday, December 12, at the age of 38.
Drue was known in the soca space for mega-hits such as Vagabond and Professional and for dominating the Soca Monarch and Road March spheres in Antigua.
He was engaged to Trinidad and Tobago soca powerhouse Patrice Roberts, with whom he has a daughter.
Patrice, on her official Instagram page, left a video with herself and her fiancé with the caption: “I’d do anything to hear your voice… wake up!”
Destra Garcia, queen of bacchanal said: “Condolences Patsy, I’m so sorry babe. It’s hard to tell you to stay strong at this time, this is a hard one! Prayers are going up for you and Lilli. Drue darlin may you sleep in peace. You are already missed.”
Machel Montano, on his official social media page, commented: “Gosh Patsy my heart is feeling for you and the entire family ! 💔This is just hard but please know that we are all here with you 🙏 My condolences to you and Ricardo’s family, friends and fans. Sorry for your loss. 🙏”
