Apple Vacations is organizing additional flights to tropical destinations, including Jamaica.
These additional flights, which are set to commence in January next year, will be coming through the Capital Region International Airport, formerly Lansing Capital City Airport (LAN), which is a public, Class C airport located 3 miles northwest of downtown Lansing, Michigan.
Apple is returning to this airport, which it has been using since 2010. The cold-weather flights start on January 25 and will run through April 9, based on a statement from the airport.
The planned routes are:
· Nonstop flights from Lansing to Montego Bay, Jamaica, will leave on Fridays.
· Nonstop flights from Lansing to Cancun, Mexico, will leave on Saturdays, Mondays and Wednesdays.
· Nonstop flights from Lansing to Punta Cana, in the Dominican Republic, will leave on Sundays and Thursdays.

Apple Vacations Group president, Ray Snisky says: “Lansing and the surrounding region have continued to be a successful market for vacation companies like our Apple Vacations, Funjet Vacations, and Travel Impressions brands for many years, and we’re excited to bring this service back to LAN for 2025.”
“The return of the international flights is good for the region,” explained John Shaski, airport board chair, in a statement. He added, “These international flights draw in passengers from throughout Michigan and our neighboring states, even Canada, and provide convenient and direct access to sunny beach destinations when Michiganders need it the most in the winter.
The airport offers regular American Airlines flights to Washington, D.C., and Chicago and regular Delta Air Lines flights to Detroit.
