For the first time ever, patrons of today’s (April 19) Appleton Estate Reserve Experience will have the unique opportunity to enjoy the grandeur of the Portland in a fully immersive and affordable way.
Set against the backdrop of the lush northeastern coast, Trident Castle will host the Appleton Estate Reserve Experience on Saturday as part of the Camp Porti suite of activities and promises to be a celebration of heritage, craftsmanship, and culture—all within the majestic walls of one of Jamaica’s most storied landmarks.
This exclusive event, set for 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, will offer guests guided tours of the castle grounds, curated rum tastings, live entertainment, and culinary delights, showcasing the best of Portland’s rich offerings.
There will also be tray-passed bites to satisfy every palate.
During an interview PJ Wright, said in addition to the party experience, there will be food pairings, a photo experience and an immersive games room around Appleton Estate’s brand and the history behind the creation of the local rum brand.
“What is unique about this experience is that it will be held inside of the Trident Castle, one of the most iconic buildings in Portland, and most people have never gone in there, so it’s an opportunity to experience something that is only possible through the journey that Appleton Estate and Camp Porti are creating,” Wright said.
“We will allow our patrons to have a more wholesome experience than just sipping on Appleton Estate cocktails. It’s more interactive with the opportunity to take photographs with the amazing backdrop of Portland, and will leave with a special token. This is an experience that can only be accessed with Camp Porti camp passes, which makes it very unique and exclusive,” he said.
Dominic Bell, communications manager at Appleton Estate, stated that the partnership with Camp Porti aims to offer guests a blend of the legacy of Appleton Estate and the historical significance of Trident Castle.
