Two Jamaicans recognised among the Caribbean’s leading Women during landmark 10th anniversary celebration
Jamaica was represented at the 2026 Caribbean POSH ICON Woman Awards by Kaysia Vaughan and Sophia Nicole Morgan earning regional recognition during Caribbean POSH’s landmark 10th anniversary celebration held in the British Virgin Islands.
The two women were among 15 winners representing seven Caribbean territories, recognised for their outstanding leadership, innovation, and impact across a range of industries during the prestigious awards ceremony, the signature event of Caribbean POSH Weekend.
Kaysia Vaughan received the Emerging ICON Leader Award, recognising her leadership, vision, and growing influence, while Sophia Nicole Morgan was honoured with the Education Innovation ICON Award for her outstanding contribution to education and her commitment to inspiring the next generation through innovation and excellence.
Now celebrating a decade of championing Caribbean women, the Caribbean POSH ICON Woman Awards have become one of the region’s leading platforms for recognising women whose work is creating meaningful impact across business, leadership, entrepreneurship, education, tourism, media, and community development.
“One of the most rewarding aspects of the ICON Woman Awards is seeing women from across the Caribbean celebrated for the extraordinary work they do every day,” said Janette Brin, Founder & CEO of Caribbean POSH.
“Jamaica continues to produce exceptional women who are leading with purpose, innovation, and impact. Kaysia and Sophia exemplify the passion, resilience, and excellence that these awards were created to recognise, and we are proud to celebrate their achievements on a regional stage.”
Celebrating their 10th year, the 2026 Caribbean POSH Weekend brought together women leaders, entrepreneurs, tourism executives, government officials, and changemakers from across the Caribbean and diaspora for a series of networking events, leadership conversations, cultural experiences, and the highly anticipated ICON Woman Awards.
Brin reflected on how far the platform has come.
“For ten years, Caribbean POSH has been committed to ensuring Caribbean women are seen, celebrated, and connected. Every winner represents the incredible talent that exists throughout our region, and their stories continue to inspire future generations of women to lead boldly and dream bigger.”
Since its inception, Caribbean POSH has grown into one of the Caribbean’s premier platforms dedicated to increasing the visibility of Caribbean women through storytelling, recognition, networking, and leadership development.
The organisation says it remains committed to celebrating the women whose contributions continue to shape a stronger, more connected Caribbean.
