The Mavis Bank Coffee Factory Limited (MBCF) has successfully achieved Safe Quality Food (SQF) Food Manufacturing Edition 9 Recertification, with an outstanding 99% score, reaffirming the company’s unwavering commitment to food safety, quality assurance, operational excellence and product certification.
The certification is valid through April 24, 2027.
Commenting on the achievement, Managing Director, Dr Norman W. Grant, OD, JP, stated in an interview that “this recertification reflects the dedication of our team to maintaining the highest international food safety and quality standards. It reinforces the confidence that our customers around the world place in Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee and the products manufactured by Mavis Bank Coffee Factory.”
Mavis Bank Coffee Factory purchases premium Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee from approximately 5,000 coffee farmers in the Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee-growing regions of St Andrew, St Thomas, and Portland, supporting rural livelihoods while preserving one of Jamaica’s most renowned agricultural industries.
Established in March 1923, Mavis Bank Coffee Factory has proudly served the coffee industry for over 100 years. Today, the company exports authentic Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee to international markets, including Japan, the United States, China, Europe, South Korea, Taiwan, Australia, the UAE, and the wider Caribbean.

Mavis Bank Coffee Factory will also participate in the upcoming Denbigh Agricultural, Industrial and Food Show, scheduled for July 31 to August 2, 2026, at the Denbigh Showground in May Pen, Clarendon, where the company will showcase its products and engage with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
