Grace to Grow Mentorship & Training Limited (GtG), a Jamaican social enterprise dedicated to women’s leadership and empowerment, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Embassy of the Republic of Colombia to Jamaica, formalising a new partnership aimed at advancing women’s empowerment, gender equality, and leadership development.

The MOU was signed at a ceremony held by Her Excellency Emiliana Lucía Bernard Stephenson, Ambassador of the Republic of Colombia to Jamaica, and Global Leadership Strategist, Heneka Watkis-Porter, CEO & Founder of Grace to Grow.

The agreement builds on diplomatic relations between Colombia and Jamaica dating back to 1965, and reflects Colombia’s Feminist Foreign Policy, which promotes gender equality and the empowerment of women as guiding principles of its international engagement. Under the MOU, the Embassy and GtG will collaborate on joint programmes, workshops, conferences, training sessions, and cultural exchanges, and will work to exchange technical expertise and best practices while encouraging partnerships with government, private sector, and civil society organisations.

Among the initiatives anticipated under the partnership are a Leadercast leadership event and a five-day Leadership and Culture Immersion trip to Bogotá, Colombia, scheduled for later in 2026, which will bring Jamaican women leaders together with counterparts in Colombia to exchange ideas on leadership, culture, and social impact.

“This partnership with the Embassy of Colombia is a powerful affirmation that when women lead with grace, the impact transcends borders,” said Heneka Watkis-Porter, CEO & Founder of Grace to Grow. “We are honoured to formalise this relationship and excited about what it will make possible for the women we serve, from leadership training here in Jamaica to shared learning in Bogotá.” Both parties noted that the MOU establishes a framework of goodwill and cooperation under which specific projects and activities may be developed through separate agreements.
