Jamaica’s south coast is set to come alive on Sunday, July 12, 2026, as three of the country’s biggest reggae and dancehall stars – Busy Signal, Shaneil Muir, and Queen Ifrica headlined this year’s Bigga Little Ochie Seafood Carnival at the iconic Little Ochie in Alligator Pond, Manchester.

Staged under the theme “Where Legends Are Born, “the annual festival continues to cement its reputation as one of Jamaica’s premier seafood events, drawing thousands of patrons from across the island and overseas for an authentic celebration of the country’s rich culinary traditions and vibrant entertainment.

This year’s entertainment package was among the strongest in the event’s history.

Internationally acclaimed dancehall and reggae powerhouse Busy Signal continues to enjoy tremendous global success. Fresh from receiving the Key to the City of Tamarac, Florida, the hitmaker remains one of Jamaica’s most recognisable musical exports, boasting an extensive catalogue that includes classics such as Nah Go A Jail Again, Tic Toc, and Happy Birthday, along with internationally celebrated collaborations like Watch Out for This (Bumaye) with Major Lazer.

Earlier this year, Busy Signal also teamed up with Bahamian reggae artiste, Righteous Teacher, on Give Thanks, a collaboration that helped the singer earn his first placement on the USA iTunes Reggae Chart.

Joining him was Shaneil Muir, whose meteoric rise has established her as one of Jamaica’s most compelling contemporary voices. Renowned for her soulful vocals, emotionally charged lyrics and commanding stage presence, Muir has carved out a distinctive sound that blends reggae, dancehall and R&B influences.

Her 2025 project, highlighted by the single Secured, reflected what she described as a period of confidence, maturity and inner peace, themes that continue to resonate with fans while showcasing her evolution as one of dancehall’s brightest stars. Completing the stellar lineup was reggae queen Queen Ifrica, whose powerful messages and captivating live performances have made her one of the genre’s most respected voices. She

Entered the festival in the midst of an exciting creative period, having released a string of new singles ahead of her anticipated album Breath of Life. Recent offerings, including Lanton(Lantern), Mom Like Me and the 2026 remastered version of What A Night, underscore her continued artistic growth while reinforcing the conscious, roots-driven sound that has earned her a loyal following across the globe.

Together, the trio capped a full day of activities designed to showcase the very best of Jamaica’s south coast.

Beyond the stellar musical lineup, patrons enjoyed an extensive selection of authentic Jamaican seafood prepared by Little Ochie’s renowned vendors, alongside

family-friendly activities, cultural showcases and an energetic festival atmosphere that has become synonymous with the event.

The Seafood Carnival also continues to play an important role in promoting domestic tourism while providing valuable opportunities for local entrepreneurs, food vendors and businesses to showcase their products and services.
