Legendary rapper and music producer Dr Dre opened up about his dream to take the archery stage at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics.

“I’m starting to prepare for the 2028 Olympics,” the artiste told Entertainment Tonight.

Dr Dre rediscovered his passion for archery after his son gifted him a bow and arrow set for Father’s Day. Dr Dre first picked up the sport in secondary school.

A practice area has been set up at his home, where he regularly perfects his craft.

Despite the Olympic requirement of 77 feet, the rapper has challenged himself to a distance of 90 feet in training and has hired a coach to help sharpen his skill.

“Wouldn’t it be amazing to win a gold medal, especially with the Games being here in Los Angeles? I feel like I can achieve anything,” he said.

This comes after his closing ceremony performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics with Snoop Dogg, where he sang The Next Episode during the handover to Los Angeles — the start of the promotional campaign for the next Summer Games in 2028.
