“The J$400 million deposit, Madame Speaker, for the 100 buses is in the fourth supplementary estimates, which means that…by June [or] July of this year, Madame Speaker, we’ll have 100 new buses in the JUTC fleet right in time for back to school,” said Clarke.

Minister of Transport Daryl Vaz has previously stated that the Government is aiming to acquired 300 new buses for the JUTC over the next three years to help reduce wait times for commuters.

The 300 buses are in addition to 50 new buses that arrived in August last year, six buses that arrived in October last year, and an additional 14 scheduled to arrive by February of this year.
