Ashanti has confirmed she’s expecting a baby with rapper Nelly.

The Grammy Award-winning artistes are expecting their first baby together, the R&B songstress confirmed in a video shared to her Instagram account on Wednesday, April 17.

The comedy skit video showed her mother and manager Tina Douglas rushing her to the stage ahead of a concert at Barclays Center.

When Tina asked how much time she needed to get ready, Ashanti coyly replied, “9 months” … and also captioned the post: “Baby, baby, baby, baby.”

In an interview with ESSENCE, the singer also revealed that she is also engaged to the Hot in Here artiste.

The artistes first dated in 2003 and rekindled their relationship in 2023.
