ASHE to honour late Ifidel Williams next week

Performing arts ensemble Ashe will host the ninth night ceremony for Ifidel Williams on Monday, August 12, at 8 Cargill Avenue in St Andrew.
Commemorating the talented performer, the service will start at 6 pm and tributes will commence at 8pm, to include singing and dance performances. Fans and friends alike are welcome to attend.
The ninth night will be recorded on the performing arts company’s Youtube channel @theashecompany.
A phenomenal singer, performer and actor, Williams passed away on Sunday, August 4. The details of his death were not disclosed.
Reknowned for his role as a background vocalist on Digicel Rising Stars, Williams was an incredible asset to the entertainment industry, working with talents like Tessanne Chin and Diana King. Williams released covers of songs done throughout the years on Youtube like Sam Smith’s ‘Stay with me’ and ‘Thinking out Loud’ by Ed Sheeran.
Williams also served as the integrated marketing and communication lead for his alma mater, the ASHE company. He held multiple leadership roles throughout his life and was a behaviour change intervention specialist, teacher and social worker. He also performed sermons for The Universal Centre of Truth for Better Living (UC Truth) church in 2022.
