Just a month after adding Foton to its brand line-up, the ATL Automotive Group has officially been selected as the regional master dealer for British car manufacturer MG Motor.

The new partnership marks a significant milestone for ATL Automotive, placing the company in the driver’s seat of the brand’s sales and aftersales operations in Jamaica, with further regional management of ten other Caribbean countries including Aruba, the Bahamas, Bermuda, Bonaire, Cayman, Curacao and for the first time, the Dominican Republic, Belize, Haiti and Turks & Caicos.

The announcement comes as MG celebrates its 100th anniversary, a fitting, commemorative milestone that symbolises its enduring legacy and future promise.

With a rich heritage dating back to 1924, MG is renowned for its sporty, high-performing, affordable cars.

Today, the automaker is a force in the rapidly expanding electric vehicle (EV) market, offering a range of models that combine outstanding design, cutting-edge technology, and excellent value for money. The brand’s commitment to innovation and sustainability aligns perfectly with ATL Automotive’s vision for the future of mobility in the Caribbean.

Adam Stewart, executive chairman of the ATL Automotive Group, expressed his enthusiasm for the new agreement stating, “Our two-year-long negotiations with MG have culminated in a significant triumph for the ATL Automotive Group. With a century-long legacy of excellence, MG has already demonstrated its remarkable partnership potential. We are honoured to have been entrusted with the development of the MG brand in the Caribbean—a region that is bursting with innovative potential and value – and we are looking forward to supporting our regional partners throughout the Caribbean with a world-class suite of services.

This expansion not only testifies to ATL Automotive’s growth strategy but also marks a proud moment for the Jamaican company extending its operations regionally once more.

The group says it is excited to tap into a completely new customer base, reaching a new generation of Caribbean motorists who will benefit from the incredible MG vehicles which are currently taking the world by storm.

“We’re particularly excited about the Dominican Republic, as it is our first venture into a Spanish-speaking market and now becomes the largest territory under our responsibility. This presents a major opportunity for us to increase our impact regionally through a host of innovative brand strategies,” said Stewart.

The brand’s diverse range of gas, electric, and hybrid vehicles caters to a broad spectrum of customers, from first-time buyers to senior executives, all seeking great value and eco-friendly technology.

MG’s vehicles are designed in London and manufactured in state-of-the-art factories worldwide. They are practical, spacious, and packed with advanced features such as the innovative modular scalable platform (MSP) and the intelligent iSmart vehicle data app.

“We marked a significant milestone as we officially sign this groundbreaking agreement and create our first MG Caribbean Hub next to ATL Automotive, a leader in the regional automotive industry. This partnership is not just a business transaction; it represents a shared vision for innovation, excellence, and mutual growth,” shared Zhang Wei, president of SAIC International North America, Central America and Caribbean.

In Jamaica, initially, three models will be available immediately for pre-order including the MG HS, MG ZS and the MG4 EV, an all-electric model with deliveries set to begin in October.
