The ATL Automotive Group continues to expand its portfolio of motor vehicles and this now includes The Jaecoo and The Omoda.

The launch event yesterday showcased these vehicles, which have a starting price of just J$4.8 million and you get a lot of car for that price including a 7-year warranty (100,000km).

The Jaecoo is aimed at the SUV market and is perfect for Jamaica’s rugged terrain. It is a brand from the Chery Automobile company and was established in 2023.

The Jaecoo 7, described as China’s Range Rover but more reliable, does 35 combined MPG. And has 275Nm of torque with 147 ps of Power. It looks and performs like a premier SUV.

The Jaecoo J6, with its boxy, sexy look, is reminiscent of a Land Rover Defender and should prove powerful, giving the Jetour T2 a run for its money.

Entering the international market in 2023, by last year, both the Omoda and Jaecoo sold 600,000 units across the world. They are fast-growing brands.

These vehicles feature dual 10.25-inch screens, voice control, and advanced driver-assistance systems.

Omoda offers traditional 1.5L turbocharged engines and hybrid options. It is a sister brand to Jaecoo.
