Kia Jamaica, one of the country’s most popular automotive brands, will launch the all-new Kia Tasman in the fourth quarter of 2025.
As Kia’s first-ever pickup, the Tasman will be the latest entrant in Jamaica’s midsize pickup market, introducing a bold new option for drivers seeking versatility and innovation.
Mark Dommisse, managing director at ATL Automotive, remarked, “The launch of the Kia Tasman marks an exciting milestone, not only for ATL Automotive but for the Jamaican market as a whole. As Kia’s first-ever pickup, the Tasman expands the brand’s already diverse portfolio and demonstrates its ability to meet the evolving needs of our customers. With its bold design, versatility, and performance, the Tasman is poised to attract entirely new customer segments and driving profiles. We believe it has the potential to do more than set the standard for pickups – it has the power to redefine what this category means for Jamaica.”

Additionally, Damien Kerr, general manager at Kia Jamaica, said, “The Tasman is an exciting addition for our customers because it combines the rugged strength Jamaicans demand from a pickup with the comfort and innovation Kia is known for. From business owners to families who need versatility, this model adapts to every lifestyle. We’re confident the Tasman will not just enter the market but transform it, setting a new benchmark for midsize pickups in Jamaica.”
The Tasman commands attention with its boxy, upright design, highlighted by Kia’s signature ‘tiger nose’ grille, vertical LED headlights, and muscular body cladding that distinguish it from traditional pickups.
Available in double and chassis-cab variants, the Tasman offers best-in-class carrying capacity, thanks to its 5,410mm length and 3,270mm wheelbase. Practical features such as integrated rear side steps and a sculpted tailgate with an embedded logo enhance everyday usability.
Inside, the Tasman combines comfort and technology with a triple-screen layout, featuring a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a five-inch climate control display, and a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen. Passengers enjoy generous headroom, shoulder room, and ample legroom in the second row, with rear seats that recline up to 30 degrees.
Clever storage solutions include hidden bins under the rear seats and a folding console table that doubles as a mobile workspace. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, dual wireless chargers, and eco-conscious materials further elevate the driving experience.

Built on a robust body-on-frame chassis, the Tasman combines rugged durability with refined comfort. Its double-wishbone front suspension and leaf-spring rear are supported by sensitive damper control and hydraulic rebound stop for a smoother ride.
At the heart of this pickup is the 2.2-litre diesel engine (210 hp, 441 Nm), engineered to deliver power and efficiency. With a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 kg, a maximum payload capacity of approximately 1,000 kg, plus selectable drive modes that include eco, smart, and sport, the Tasman is ready for work, play, and everything in between.

The Tasman is equipped with advanced driver assistance features such as smart cruise control, lane-keeping and lane-following assist, blind-spot collision warning, and Surround View Monitor, providing peace of mind in all driving conditions.
Off-road confidence is boosted by X-Trek Mode, which acts as a low-speed cruise control, operating between two and 10 kilometres/h. Noise-reduction materials also ensure a refined and quiet cabin experience, uncommon in the [midsize] pickup segment.
