Jamaica’s current number two new car dealership, Kia Motors Kingston—a member of the ATL Automotive Group—has officially launched the progressive, all-new Kia K4 next generation compact sedan during an unveiling event last Thursday at AC Hotel in St Andrew.
Designed to turn heads and engineered for those who crave performance and innovation, the Kia K4 sets a new standard in the compact sedan class. With a striking silhouette, intelligent technology and powerful efficiency, the vehicle is more than a car—it has been described by Kia lovers as “your next level ride”.
Following the unveiling, Brandon Fernandez, Sales Executive, ATL Automotive Group, defined the vehicle as one unique with a silhouette slope top roof design and a grand coupe that is a little bit wider than the average sedan in Jamaica.

“This is just new DNA the brand will bring forward. Year-to-date, we have had the pleasure of releasing three very special models for the brand. Those models being the ED5, the ED9 and tonight, the K4. Starting with the front feature—the new daytime running lights on all the latest models, and the vehicle will carry a 1.6 litre engine, which should pack you with a lot of power but of course, with a lot of saving on the gas,” Fernandez said.
“It’s going to make the driving experience more pleasurable. It’s fit with front and back sensors and, of course, a reverse camera. Sitting on 17” rims, we’ll also have a GT line model available with a much more stylish design, so if you want to get out and get that much more sporty edge, you can ask for that design,” he said.
In walking the specially invited guests through the auto review, Fernandez then showed that a button sensor opens and closes the trunk, which has a full spare tire, a feature which affordable cars these days lack.

He highlighted that when one enters the Kia K4, they are greeted by a widescreen display and sensor touch to turn the overhead vertical LED light on.
The interior is also buzzing with black comfortable seats with a spacious cabin space, and just as the light of the car, much leg room for the tallest of men.
For those tech-forward drivers, the KIA K4 has Apple CarPlay and Android compatibility with a wireless charger port and two fast charging ports.
“As you sit in it, you will notice a very ‘unique’ design on the steering wheel, and I think that is the perfect word that we can use to describe this model. It is ‘unique’ from inside to out… This is just a mixture of what is to come and what is here,” Fernandez explained.
“My true sentiment of this car, as we saw Honda take over the sedan market with the [Honda] Civic, I believe you will see the K4 take over that market with this new product,” he said.

The car is expected to do 15.3 km per litre with a refined look and designed to succeed the Forte, blending bold styling with modern tech and spacious comfort.
One of the major highlights for the evening was “the huge trunk space”. To emphasise its “hugeness”, some female guests took turns curling in the trunk to showcase that they were fit enough to fit in.
Starting at J$5.995 million, the Kia K4 models start with a base engine of 2.0 L I‑4 (~147 hp), paired with CVT and go up to a GT‑Line Turbo line with a 1.6 L turbo engine.
The car also offers up to 29 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features, such as adaptive cruise, lane‑keep, blind‑spot assist, 360° camera, and advanced collision avoidance.
In the overseas market, it has earned Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s (IIHS) Top Safety Pick designation.
