No. 2 seed Alexander Bublik and unseeded Juan Manuel Cerundolo advanced to the EFG Swiss Open Gstaad final with straight-sets victories Saturday in Switzerland.
Kazakhstan’s Bublik defeated Frenchman Arthur Cazaux 6-1, 7-5 in 73 minutes. He hammered 12 aces, posted a 35-11 edge in winners and never faced a break point.
Argentina’s Cerundolo will play for his second ATP Tour title — and first since 2021 — after a 6-3, 6-3 semifinal win against Peru’s Ignacio Buse. Cerundolo saved the only break point he faced in the 82-minute victory.

Unseeded Dutchman Jesper De Jong and No. 6 seed Luciano Darderi of Italy will play for the championship Sunday in Bastad, Sweden.
De Jong is chasing his first ATP Tour title after a 6-3, 7-6 (3) win over No. 5 seed Camilo Ugo Carabelli of Argentina. He overcame a 5-4 deficit in the second set and won 83 per cent of the points (34 of 41) behind his first save, including eight aces.
Darderi outlasted No. 1 seed Francisco Cerundolo of Argentina 6-2, 3-6, 7-6 (3) in two hours, 34 minutes. Darderi overcame a 4-2 deficit in the deciding set and spoiled a big weekend for the Cerundolo family, as brother Juan Manuel Cerundolo is in Sunday’s final in Gstaad, Switzerland.
Mifel Tennis Open

Third-seeded Denis Shapovalov won his second title this season with a 6-4, 6-2 victory over seventh-seeded Aleksandar Kovacevic in Los Cabos, Mexico.
The Canadian, ranked No. 33 in the world, added to his victory in Dallas in February with his fourth career title. No. 76 Kovacevic, an American who had ousted top-seeded Andrey Rublev of Russia in the semifinals, is still looking for his first championship.
Shapovalov had more aces (6-2) and winners (15-7), while Kovacevic had only one more unforced error (23-22). Shapovalov won 81 per cent of his first serve points (26 of 32) to 67 per cent for his opponent (22 of 33). Kovacevic had to work to save five of eight break point opportunities, while Shapovalov was 1-for-1 in saving break points.
