Attorney Norman Douglas Manley, the grandson of National Hero Norman Washington Manley, has died.
In a statement this afternoon, the People’s National Party (PNP) said it wished to extend its sincerest condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of the late attorney.
“We extend our sympathies at this time of grief and hope that you celebrate the life and legacy of your loved one,” stated the political organisation founded by Norman Washington Manley.
“Norman was a true patriot who followed in the footsteps of his grandfather as an exceptional legal talent.”

Norman Douglas Manley was the son of the late Douglas Manley and nephew of former Prime Minister Michael Manley.
He was reportedly found unresponsive in his law offices in Manchester this morning.
“As a movement and a community, we are deeply saddened by this loss. Norman was a true patriot who followed in the footsteps of his grandfather as an exceptional legal talent,” the PNP said without elaborating on the cause of death.
Manley was called to the Jamaican Bar in 1977 and is said to have dedicated his life thereafter to the practice of law.
The PNP said all those who knew and loved him, share in the belief that the legacy he has left behind will never be forgotten.
