Aviation Expo 2025 has been nothing short of a dream realised. For many, the event was a weekend of inspiration and discovery, but behind its creation lies a deeply personal story.

The expo was the brainchild of Captain Altitude, inspired by the journey of Jason Gordon, whose pursuit of becoming a pilot lit a fire of inspiration in his family.

His story became the spark that fueled the vision of bringing aviation back to the forefront in Jamaica, not just as an industry, but as a passion worth celebrating.

At the helm of this vision was Celene Gordon, Director of Captain Altitude, whose hard work, determination, and execution brought Aviation Expo 2025 to life.

With a background in project management and experience in delivering large-scale events, Gordon saw the aviation expo as the natural next step.

On Saturday, October 4, that vision came alive in spectacular fashion. The event was more than just a showcase of aircraft, careers, and opportunities; it was a testament to resilience and belief.

It was also proudly endorsed by the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, with the Honourable Olivia “Babsy” Grange, Minister, lending her support.

Minister Grange, who also served as the Honorary Patron for the Captain Altitude Summer Camp 2025, has been a steadfast champion of initiatives that inspire and empower the next generation.

Gordon expressed heartfelt gratitude to the many partners and supporters who stood firmly behind the vision from its earliest days.

Special recognition was extended to the Aeronautical School of the West Indies (ASWI), the Airports Authority of Jamaica (AAJ), and the Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority (JCAA), whose partnership played a vital role in making the dream a reality.

Aviation Expo 2025 proved that when passion meets purpose, possibilities take flight.

With its successful staging, the foundation has been set for an even greater future. The journey continues, as Captain Altitude prepares to welcome the world once again at Aviation Expo 2026.
