Our Today has discovered a disturbing online racket, which is offering falsified certificates and other documents to Jamaicans at exorbitant fees.
BacklinkJA.com, with its slogan “All the backdoor deals online!”, has been advertising its services to Jamaicans on Facebook, and runs a secure platform for payment.
Among the services offered, persons can pay to get faked CXC certificates, faked United States and Jamaican drivers’ licenses, and fake Jamaican birth certificates. The prices range from JM$5,000 to $35,000 and the website comes with a cart option for multiple ‘deals’.
BacklinksJA.com also grants prospective customers falsified HEART Trust/NTA certification up to Level Two, which it sells at $12,000.

The website has a ‘Question & Answers’ section, in which it explains that Backlink is “where you can get things done fast”.
“If you want your Driver License, CXC Certificate, Degree, and Birth Certificate done for you fast without the hassle then this the place to be,” the website continued.
Backlink assures individuals that its documents are “real” and can be used “anywhere”.
The counterfeit marketers, seeking to persuade individuals, further added that their documents can land one “a good job, get into school, whatever you want”.
The ‘company’ claims it can grant anonymity, with the promise that “no one will know and nothing will be traced back to you” as these transactions are fully online.
It is apparently a well-oiled machine as once payment is confirmed, BacklinkJA.com says it delivers its falsified documents through Tara Couriers, the Zipmail feature of Jamaica Post or Knutsford Express.
Payments, however, are only accepted in Jamaican dollars, and Backlink also allows its customers to ‘track’ their documents.

Our Today, on browsing the ‘Notice!’ section of the website, was again assured that all personal information is deleted on receipt of the documents.
“All of your information will be deleted after you receive your product, we do not keep any personal information about our buying customers also this site is safe and secure! No one can track you or get your real information, whatever you do here, stays here!” Backlink declared.
Persons who pay have been advised to contact Backlink with a screenshot of the receipt or transaction at [email protected]. The ‘company’ also boasts [email protected] and [email protected] portals for further queries and doubts.

When contacted, head of the Crime Unit in the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF), Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Fitz Bailey, said he was unaware of the website and its services, however, the police will be looking into the matter.
