Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. (BTMI) has entered a partnership with the New York Giants which is set to start in the 2023 season.

This first-of-its-kind multi-year partnership will allow BTMI to cement Barbados’ position as a destination of choice for Giants fans.

With BTMI running Brand Barbados ads and campaigns in New York, the collaboration only serves to expand the island’s reach to visitors and potentially attract more foreign exchange to the island.

In a statement on the Giants website, it was said the BTMI will lead the mission to raise awareness of Barbados as a top travel destination for the New York market through social and digital content and activities throughout the year. Also noting that the partnership provides a unique opportunity for Giants fans to experience the natural beauty, pristine beaches, and vibrant culture of Barbados.

BTMI USA Director Eusi Skeete announced the collaboration, “We are delighted to partner with such an iconic brand as Giants, as we continue to expand Barbados’ reach across the US market,” Skeete said.

“New York and Barbados’ relationship is long-standing, and this collaboration with the brand is just an extension of what has been a decades-long love affair,” he added.

BTMI will offer exclusive travel packages for Giants fans and will be presented as a destination of choice for Giants fans across a variety of media platforms.

Through the partnership, Giants fans will have access to unique travel packages and experiential opportunities. Fans will experience a “taste of Barbados” through a series of activities at select home games and special events, with many opportunities to win trips to the island.

“These initiatives aim to bring fans to the island through the creation of visual content and will play an important role in highlighting the reasons why Barbados is the most visited island in the Caribbean.”

“We are excited to welcome BTMI as the official travel destination of the New York Giants,” said Jessica Slinker, senior vice president, corporate partnerships for the New York Giants.

“As we developed our partnership, it was clear that the fans’ passion and loyalty matched on both sides, and we are excited to offer travel opportunities.”

The collaboration also creates a path for cultural exchange and opportunities for the team to learn about the rich history of Barbados and Bajan culture.

“As we launch this partnership, we look forward to creating even greater collaborations now and in the years to come,” said Skeete.

“Barbados is the perfect partner for the Giants, and given the New York Giants’ brand ethos, the synergies are undeniable and the opportunities to expand Barbados’ footprint in the United States are endless,” he continued.
