Barita proudly supported the Women’s Leadership Initiative’s red‑carpet premiere of The Devil Wears Prada 2 as a main sponsor, playing a central role in a glamorous and highly successful fundraising evening that celebrated WLI’s enduring impact and drew an enthusiastic, engaged audience.
The Women’s Leadership Initiative, a United Way committee established in 2003, used the premiere to raise awareness and funds for its core programmes in Health, Early Childhood Education, Mentorship, and Advocacy.

The event showcased key beneficiaries and initiatives, including VOUCH, a model for facility operations and early‑childhood care, the Sylvia Foote Basic School, and the Mary Issa Clinic, and highlighted WLI’s recent advocacy work, mentorship for the 2025 COJO cohort, and support for female farmers affected by the recent hurricane.
Barita’s sponsorship reflects a deep alignment with the company’s Early Childhood Education pillar and overall community investment strategy. Beyond the philanthropic impact, the premiere offered an exceptional platform for Barita to engage directly with its Retail and Wealth clients in a refined, high‑profile setting, strengthening client relationships and demonstrating shared commitment to social impact.

“Barita Foundation is proud to support the Women’s Leadership Initiative and its vital work in early childhood education,” said Stephanie Murdock, Director, Barita Foundation. “The premiere celebrated community, creativity, and purpose, and provided a meaningful opportunity to deepen partnerships and engage with clients and stakeholders who share our commitment to lasting impact.”
The evening generated strong visibility and momentum for WLI’s programmes, reaffirming the power of strategic partnerships between the private sector and charity initiatives to deliver tangible benefits for children and communities. According to Ms. Murdock, “Barita remains committed to supporting initiatives that drive measurable social outcomes while creating meaningful engagement opportunities for clients and partners.”
