Barita Investments Limited has announced the launch of the Barita Analyst Programme, an 18-month, full-time professional development initiative designed to address critical readiness gaps among recent university graduates entering Jamaica’s financial sector.

The programme, which begins on October 1, 2025, was developed in response to the need to equip graduates entering the workforce with strong academic credentials with the practical exposure, strategic thinking, and technical fluency required to thrive in high-performance financial environments.

“We’re not just giving graduates a place to work, we are offering a place to grow, stretch, and thrive,” said Stephanie Murdock, Chief Human Resource Officer at Barita Financial Group. “The Analyst Programme is about bridging the divide between theory and impact, giving bold, curious minds the environment they need to transform potential into confidence.”

Applications are open from July 28 to August 15, and eligible candidates must be graduates from accredited universities between 2023 and 2025, holding degrees in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Business, or related fields.

Participants will rotate through Barita’s core business areas, including Investment Banking, Wealth Management, and Research & Strategy, while receiving:

  • One-on-one mentorship from senior professionals
  • Executive coaching focused on leadership and strategic decision-making
  • Training in platforms such as Bloomberg and Power BI
  • Support in pursuing globally recognised certifications, including CFA Level I

In addition to technical and leadership development, the programme offers a career roadmap for growth in the finance industry, tailored to each successful candidate. Opportunities for advancement will be aligned with individual strengths, aspirations, and performance throughout the 18-month journey, ensuring that participants are not only equipped for success but positioned to thrive.

Ramon Small-Ferguson

Ramon Small-Ferguson, CEO of Barita Investments, emphasised the programme’s long-term vision: “I started my own career as an analyst, and I’ll never forget how foundational that was. It wasn’t just technical knowledge, it was mindset, grit, clarity. That experience gave me the lens to lead. With this programme, we’re creating that same launchpad for a new generation, so they can think differently, act decisively, and help reshape what financial leadership looks like in Jamaica.”

Interested applicants are invited to submit their resume and cover letter to [email protected]. For updates and insights into the programme, follow @baritainvestments across all major social platforms.
